The completed Tarantula Woodkit is 16 inches long and a nice representation of a most notable arachnid. Tarantulas are some of the largest of all spiders, the giant Venezuelan species has a body three and a half inches across, with a 10 inch leg span.
All Woodkits are very versatile and can be thought of as a 3D puzzle, a model, a display and even a craft project. Older kids will love to build these fun kits by themselves or with friends, while younger kids will enjoy spending time with a favorite adult as you work together on this fun building activity. Everyone will love to proudly display their finished Woodkit project.
The kit contains light-weight wooden sheets precut in the correct shapes and sizes necessary to build a specific design. Simply remove the pieces from the sheets and start your assembly. Each kit also includes simple to follow instructions and a small piece of sand paper so you can lightly sand any rough edges. Glue may be needed/desired for a strong permanent assembly.
These kits are designed to be built and displayed but we found that if you don't glue them you can take them apart and rebuild them much as you might a jigsaw puzzle. Alternatively, if you do decide you want to build and display your Woodkit project you might consider adding you own style. Use your existing paints, markers, stickers, glitter, beads, etc to make this a truly imaginative craft project.

Why is this product Very Cool?
Here is at least part of why we decided to rank the Woodkits Alligator - 3D Wooden Construction Toy as a Very Cool toy.
Versatility
One of the things that makes this kit cool is it's versatility. It's a puzzle, a model, a display, and a craft project, choose the options that best suit you and your child. The building process itself is simple enough that you and your child won't get frustrated, but challenging enough to keep everyone's interest. Plus there is no limit to how you can decorate and personalize your finished Woodkit.
Bonding Activity
Building a Woodkit with your child is a really nice bonding activity. If you can set a side an hour or so to build a Woodkit with your child it will be time well spent. As a bonus, your child is left with a nicely displayed reminder of your time together, which can be especially nice when the child gets to build the kit with a favorite visiting relative like Grandpa or Auntie.
Affordable
Woodkits are affordable. They range in price from $3.79 to $5.79 and when compared to a standard jigsaw puzzle or a model kit (which typically run $10 and up) or even the price of a movie admittance (which leaves you with nothing to show for your dollars) you can see these fun building kits are a great value and another reason we think Woodkits are Pretty Cool. Their affordable price makes them a good option for a group project especially on a rainy day when going outside and playing is not an option.
