The completed Butterfly Woodkit is 12 inches long and a nice representation of one of our most beautiful insects. The butterfly often symbolizes freedom, lightness and good fortune.
All Woodkits are very versatile and can be thought of as a 3D puzzle, a model, a display and even a craft project. The kit contains light-weight wooden sheets precut in the correct shapes and sizes necessary to build a specific design. Simply remove the pieces from the sheets and start your assembly. Each kit also includes simple to follow instructions and a small piece of sand paper so you can lightly sand any rough edges. Glue may be needed/desired for a strong permanent assembly.
These kits are designed to be built and displayed but we found that if you don't glue them you can take them apart and rebuild them much as you might a jigsaw puzzle. Alternatively, if you do decide you want to build and display your Woodkit project you might consider adding you own style. Use your existing paints, markers, stickers, glitter, beads, etc to make this a truly imaginative craft project.
