Oonch Neech tag is popular in Pakistan and loosely translates to Up And Down Tag. This game is an active, chasing game played with 2 or more (more is better) players, typically outside in a large grassy area like a yard or park.
A group of players run around trying not to get tagged by the player that is IT. If you are tagged you become IT and then chase the other players around until you tag one of them and they become IT.
You are safe from being tagged if you make it to home base. In Up And Down Tag home base is anything you can climb like a tree, fence, jungle gym, rock, deck, etc. So basically, if you are not on the ground or floor you are safe from being tagged.
Usually tag is played within certain physical game boundaries.
Most versions of tag have a rule called “no tag backs".
If you play Up And Down (Oonch Neech Tag) indoors you can use chairs, stools, cushion or bean bags as your home bases. Be sure to spread them throughout your play area.
