Hit The Door is a hiding game played with 2 or more players. Hit the door focuses more on hiding than chasing so it's a good game to play indoors if your parents will allow it .
One player is IT, stands at home base, closes his or her eyes and counts to a set number, usually anywhere from 20 to 100 depending on the size of the play area and the skill level of the players. Once the counting is done the seeker starts looking for the hiding players. Other players try to sneak to the door that is home base before being tagged by the player who is IT. The first player tagged is IT for the next round.
Remember, since this is an inside game you want to focus more on hiding well and sneaking to home base than on running for home base. Also remember to be gentle when you tag the door that is home base.
Usually Hit The Door is played within certain physical game boundaries like a person's house or a specific room.
You can change home base to be something other than a door if you like.
If you choose to play Hit The Door outside, you can change the main focus from hiding to include more chasing - see How To Play Midnight.
