Ghost In The Grave Yard is an active hiding and chasing game played with 2 or more players, typically outside in a large area with lots of places to hide. For the full affect this game is best played at dusk or when it's dark.
One person, the ghost, hides while all other players stay on home base and count “1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock Rock; 4 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock Rock; 7 o'clock, 8 o'clock, 9 o'clock Rock; 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock”. At 12 o'clock the seekers (all players except the ghost) yell out “Midnight” and start searching for the hiding ghost. Whoever finds the ghost yells out “Ghost In The Grave Yard” and all seekers dash for home base trying not to get tagged by the ghost. All players that get tagged by the ghost become ghosts and join in the hiding for the next round.
Usually Ghost In The Grave Yard is played within certain physical game boundaries like a player's yard, or neighborhood.
A shorter version of Ghost In The Grave Yard is to eliminate the multiple ghosts hiding and simply designate the first player tagged as the ghost of the next round.
