A tag back is when a player immediately tags the person who just tagged them. Without this rule the game can often fall into a pattern of 2 players repeatedly tagging each other without even moving – really not much fun for anybody. Typically there is a delay of just a few seconds (2 to 5 is common) before you can go after the person who originally tagged you.
