Did you know, that students from MIT made a computer that played tic-tac-toe built from TinkerToys®? It's true. This mechanical wonder stored in its "memory" every possible state that a tic-tac-toe game could be in, and the best next move. Read About It Off site.

The Tinkertoy Construction Set was created in 1914 and is one of the all time classic toys. This toy may seem simplistic by those used to more complex building kits of modern days, but children still love the Tinkertoy and there is something just a bit more special about building something cool using a Tinkertoy set than when using some of the modern imitators.
Our favorite all time toy is the cardboard box. But did you know that in 2005 a cardboard box was added to the National Toy Hall of Fame? It's true, and it is one of very few non-brand-specific toys to be honoured with inclusion. As a result, a toy "house" (actually a log cabin) made from a large cardboard box was added to the Hall, housed at the Strong - National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.

Rubik's Cube! A modern classic toy. Invented in the early 1970's it didn't receive real attention until it was released in the USA in 1980. Before the end of 1982 it had sold over 100 million units. Eventually, it, and derivative versions, sold over 300 million units.
Super cool toys are toys that make you glad you found them. Super cool toys are toys that are worth every penny. Super cool toys are toys that parents and kids both love.
In Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, children played with dolls made of wax or terra cotta, sticks, bows and arrows, and yo-yos.
A selection of ancient Roman toys, in the Museu Nacional Arqueològic de Tarragona, in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. The display includes several toys that would be familiar to children today, including a doll, rattles, dice, and small dishes for playing house.
