It's all about searching the world to find toys that we think are super cool. We aren't talking just about high quality toys, being a high quality toy is important, but that's not all we want. It isn't enough for a toy to an educational toy, or a kid-safe toy, or preschool friendly toy, or whatever other thing might be a little special about a toy.
To really qualify for what we are looking for here a toy has to be something really special.. We want toys that make us sit up and take notice. We want toys that are fun, toys that are neat, toys that are "Super Cool".
But that isn't all that you will find here. We will also have some toys that are less than super cool, but we'll clearly mark which toys are Sorta Cool, Pretty Cool, Very Cool, and Super Cool. Also we will offer warnings about toys that are Not Cool which includes toys that are junk, or unsafe, or that we just think suck, as well as information on warning signs to look for when buying toys, and links to places were you can get more information about toy safety, and resources about toys.
We also want to get your feed back and let you be heard about what you think about toys. We want you to tell us about toys you like, love, or hate, so we'll be setting up some places where you can submit your input on toys.
There are a lot of other things we want and plan to do but for now we should probably keep quiet about them until we are closer to the date when they will be ready.

The Rubber Ducky! A favorite in the tub of many children and one of the most simple and charming of all toys.
As we were getting started with the website we were asked what our favorite toy was more than once. Naturally that is not the kind of question that is normally easy to answer, but in our case the answer was easy an unanimous. Our all time favorite toy is that great classic pleaser of children ... drum roll please ... "The Cardboard Box"! It's the most versatile toy ever and on a cost to value ratio it can't be beat. A good cardboard box can provide hours of fun and for pennies.
Our favorite all time toy is the cardboard box. But did you know that in 2005 a cardboard box was added to the National Toy Hall of Fame? It's true, and it is one of very few non-brand-specific toys to be honoured with inclusion. As a result, a toy "house" (actually a log cabin) made from a large cardboard box was added to the Hall, housed at the Strong - National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.

The Tinkertoy Construction Set was created in 1914 and is one of the all time classic toys. This toy may seem simplistic by those used to more complex building kits of modern days, but children still love the Tinkertoy and there is something just a bit more special about building something cool using a Tinkertoy set than when using some of the modern imitators.
